Yes. All our motel units have Wireless Internet.

Guests can check-in from 3.00pm (or earlier by prior arrangement) and our check-out time is 10.00am.

Sahara Guesthouse is a member of New Zealand’s Federation of Breakfast Hotels and offers 4 rooms with private facilities and 6 rooms with shared facilities. Every morning you can enjoy buffet style continental breakfast and mingle during the evening with other guests in the TV lounge.

Yes, our convenient location is within easy walking distance of Otago Museum, the main shopping centre, Botanic gardens, the University of Otago and Hospital, restaurants plus numerous other top attractions.

Yes we do! We have special rates for children aged 12 years and under in our Guesthouse, while our motel units have special rates for children aged 2 years and under. We also have an infant highchair and cot available for guest use at no additional charge.

Yes. All our accommodation options give guests the choice having a continental breakfast.

What is the difference between your Sahara standard motel units and your newer deluxe studio units?2020-11-05T11:50:09+00:00

The original Sahara Motel complex offers 10 self contained units with full kitchens and larger layouts suited for groups or families. The 8 deluxe studio units were built in 2008 and do not have full kitchen facilities, and while they are smaller with only a Queen size bed in each unit plus fold-out sofa bed, they offer modern, warm and comfortable accommodation at affordable rates for couples or business visitors to the city.
